Like I mentioned in a previous posting, the past 2 weeks (with the exception of last weekend) haven't been easy. Jill seemed to have gone through some major growth spurt, which meant she wanted to be hold and eat the whole time and she cried a lot more than before. Luckily we have a book that describes what babies go through in such a period, and that it will pass! And it did because Jill has been back to her normal sweet self now for the past two days. It seems, after she has been through this growth spurt, that she all of a sudden has "woken" up. She looks at us more clear and guess what... she gave us her first smile (which I have yet to capture on film.. hold on). The book I mentioned also says you can play face games with the baby at this age. And indeed when we stick our tongue out to Jill she repeats it. So funny.
To make it through the past times of wanting to be with mommy (and not in her own bed) the whole time, we used the Baby Bjorn which Jill got from grandma and grandpa Diehl. Quite the invention, as it gave me some free hands and Jill was happy.

Notice the exhausted, haven't-been-able-to-go-to-the-hairdresser-in-weeks look!

Multi functional.. happy baby and happy plants.
